Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to products you buy through this website: sample libraries and instruments, plug-ins and other software, and studio tools. Last updated: October 2026.

1. Who you are buying from

Products are created and licensed by Hans Hafner, trading as Good Loops (sole proprietor), Berlin, Germany. The full contact details are in the imprint.

Orders are processed by our reseller and merchant of record, Paddle (Paddle.com Market Limited). Paddle takes the payment, handles taxes, issues your receipt and is your contractual seller for the purchase. Paddle's own buyer terms apply to the sale; these terms describe what you may do with the product itself.

2. Products and delivery

Our products are digital goods. After payment you receive a link to download the product by e-mail, and where applicable a licence key or activation information. Download links may expire, so please download and keep a copy of your files. If a link has expired or does not work, write to support@good-loops.com and we will help.

Product pages describe the content, formats, version and system requirements, for example supported plug-in formats, operating systems and host software. Please check them before buying. Prices are shown at checkout, including or excluding taxes as required for your country.

3. Licence: sound content (sample libraries and instruments)

When you buy a sample library or sampled instrument you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual licence to use its sounds and files:

  • in your own music, film, video, advertising, game and other productions, commercial or non-commercial;
  • without paying any further fee or royalty;
  • on any computers you own and use yourself (single user: the licence is for one person).

4. Licence: software (plug-ins, apps and studio tools)

When you buy a plug-in, app or other software, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use it:

  • for one person, on any computers you own and use yourself;
  • to make music and other productions, commercial or non-commercial, without paying any further fee or royalty for the output you create with it;
  • with the updates that are provided for the version you bought, as described on the product page.

Software is licensed, not sold. You may not decompile, reverse engineer or modify it, circumvent any licensing or activation mechanism, or rent, lend or sublicense it, except where mandatory law allows it. If a product page names a different licence for a specific product, that licence applies to it.

5. Free software and downloads

Free tools and downloads are offered under the licence that comes with them or is stated on their product page. For example, an open-source tool is available under its open-source licence, and the terms of that licence apply to it, not sections 3 and 4 of these terms. Free tools are provided as is, without warranty, to the extent permitted by law.

6. What is not allowed

  • Reselling, sharing, uploading or otherwise redistributing a product or its files, in whole or in part, in their original form or as a sample library, loop collection, sound set, instrument or software, free or paid.
  • Using the sounds of a sample library in a product that competes with it (for example another sample library or sampler instrument).
  • Removing credits or notices from the files, or claiming the recordings or software as your own work.

The recordings, sounds and software remain the property of Good Loops and the performers. Our products are not copy protected where possible; we trust you not to share them. We price them so that everybody can afford their own copy.

7. Refunds and withdrawal

Please see our refund policy.

8. Warranty and liability

Products are provided as described on the product page. We are liable without limit for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and as required by mandatory law (for example the German Product Liability Act). For slightly negligent breaches of an essential contractual obligation our liability is limited to the typical, foreseeable damage. Otherwise we are not liable for slightly negligent breaches. Your statutory rights as a consumer remain unaffected.

We cannot guarantee that a product works with every combination of hardware, operating system and host software. Please check the requirements before buying, and keep backups of your projects.

9. Support and updates

Support is by e-mail at support@good-loops.com. We usually answer within a few working days. See also the FAQs. What updates are included for a product is described on its product page.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version published on this website at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase.

11. Governing law

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of mandatory consumer law of the country you live in.
